Riddle Solving

Postby Danny » Thu May 24, 2012 5:57 pm

Hey all, this may be boring or may be entertaining but i will post anyway, am guessing this is the correct part of the forum.

But anyway i am going to submit riddles now and again for people to solve, feel free to submit your own to :)

Can anyone solve this?

A cowboy rode into town on Friday, stayed three days, and rode out again on Friday. How did he do that?

A plane crashes, and every single person on it dies, yet, there are two survivors, how?

Yes.

You have three lights in an attic, and three light switches downstairs, can you figure out which light switch goes to which light, all while going into the attic only once?

I looked it up.
Think if you were actually in this situation for real and what you would do.

Well in this situation i would be able to go upstairs to the attic as many times as i wanted, but maybe if you turn the lights on for a certain time like switch 1 for say 5 minutes, switch 2 for 15 minutes and the 3rd switch for 30 minutes you could always go up then and check how hot each light bulb is? :/

Close enough, just do that for one (have it hot), one off, and one remaining on.

A man lives on the 14th floor of a building. Everyday, he walks down to the elevator, hits the 'lobby' button, and rides it to the bottom and then goes to work. When he comes back from work, he only takes the elevator up to the 7th floor and walks the rest of the way on the stairs. Why doesn't he take the elevator all the way to the top?

Either the elevator don't go to his floor, elevator doors are broken on his floor or he's to small?
